Ahmed Hussein was born with a dancer's heart. In 1976 he graduated from the the Higher Institute of Ballet in Cairo., Egypt. Top in his class, with an excellent degree and recognition, he was off to a great start in his dance profession. He toured all over Europe and Asia with the National Cairo Ballet Company. In 1978 Mr. Hussein began his professional career as a ballroom dancer in Great Neck, Long Island. Less than two years later, he became a rising star, champion at the Dance O Rama in Upstate New York. In 1982 he worked on the hit Broadway show "Oh, Brother" for three years.
In 1985 Ahmed opened his own dance studio in Manhattan, NY and from 1990 to 1999 he owned and operated TC Dance Club International in Queens, NY (also know as Middle Village). After two years out of ballroom dancing he was drawn back to it in 2001 in Cairo, Egypt. Then in November of 2004 Mr. Hussein purchased a studio in Jacksonville, Florida.
Among his achievements, Mr. Hussein danced at the Every Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center and Riverside Church. Currently Ahmed is a dance master and coach for many ballroom dance schools around the country.
