KEN SHAVER

Mr. Ken Shaver has probably had the most unique experiences in the ballroom dance business that you could hear.  He grew up in a small town in Northeast Missouri then came to Kansas City to work at Hallmark Card 42 years ago.  His unique path to the position of TC Dance Club International Studio Owner began with "The Phone Call" for a sample lesson at a local Arthur Murray (you will hear him refer to them as "Brand X". He remained a client for 16 months and, just before dropping out of dancing entirely, was invited to try his hand as an instructor. 

Ken met his lovely wife, Joyce, at the dance club 33 years ago.  They have been married 30 years and have two lovely children, Danny 27 and Kimberly 23.

At TC Dance, he has worked in almost every position in the club:

Specialist, Advanced Teacher, Assistant Dance Director, IPD (Intermediate Program Director), Assistant Supervisor, Supervisor, Registrar, Assistant Manager, Manager, Vice President and now Part Owner.
Much of Ken's life has revolved around TC Dance and the opportunity to acquire part interest in the club has put his plans to retire within the year on hold.  We look forward having his unique prospective of what clients want out of ballroom dancing for many years to come. His experience and leadership will provide the stability and vision that will make us the type of club you have always enjoyed.  In Ken's words, "number one, I am here for the clients that I feel a responsibility to", "I want everyone to know just how excited and honored I am to be a part of this club".
