CHA CHA TRIPLE PROGRESSIVE PATTERN
TC Dance Club Kansas City

The Cha Cha Triple Progressive pattern is not only one of the most exciting patterns in Cha Cha to do but a very stylish traveling step that moves the partners across the floor and allows them to show off their style and form. The pattern employs a series of locking steps in one direction and then, reversing, a second series of locking steps back in the opposite direction. The gentleman sets up to do the pattern by first doing a cross body lead. For both gentleman and lady executing the locking step correctly is key. When you step out, use the foot that has just locked to "push" out onto your other foot, rather than merely doing a step. Keep your frame solid and squared, muscles engaged.

Video 1 shows the pattern, first, done slowly, then the individual footwork for the gentleman. Video 2 shows the footwork for the lady and the Cha Cha Triple Progressive pattern done to music.
