EAST COAST SWING - (Triple Step)
TC Dance Club Kansas City

East Coast Swing is the ballroom dance most closely akin to traditional "rock & roll" style dancing. Danced to faster, upbeat music, it is most often done in "open" dance position, the partners holding hands in front, rather than in "closed" dance position where the man's arm is around the lady. There are 3 different timings for East Cost Swing, the most common is triple step timing.

This video shows arm positions for dance frame, basic triple step footwork for the gentleman and for the lady. East Coast Swing is then danced to music and features the basic step as well as some more intermediate patterns.
