MERENGUE PROMENADE SWIVELS
Geoff & Kelly Sandland - TC Dance Club Kansas City

The lively Merengue is often one of the first Latin dances beginners learn because its basic "marching step" is easy to master. Here is a more advanced and exciting pattern that is flashy and fun to do. Video 1 shows you what the Merengue Promenade Swivels look like and how the pattern is counted. You'll then see how to do the Gentleman's footwork, and then the footwork for the Lady. Our instructors then help you make your Merengue look the best with tips on avoiding the most common mistakes with the dance, like overleading for the Gentleman.

Video 2 addresses another common mistake, getting too high up on your toes. Video 2 then shows your our pattern, the Merengue Promenade Swivels, danced to music.
