Cha Cha is a lively and fun Latin ballroom dance. A favorite because it is easly learned and can be danced to a wide variety of popular music, as well as to Latin music. It is usually one of the first dances learned by the beginning ballroom student. Cha Cha offers dancers a great opportunity to really let go and add hip and body movement we call Cuban Motion.
This video shows the Latin dance frame, used in Cha Cha as well as in other Latin dances, and demonstrates how to do the basic Cha Cha step, for both the gentleman and the lady. The dance is then done to music, showing the basic step as well as some more advance patterns and turns.
