FOXTROT TWINKLE

The Twinkle is a pattern you will find done in smooth dances like Foxtrot and Waltz. It is an Intermediate level pattern that every good dancer should have in his or her dance repertoire. It is graceful and beautiful to watch and enjoyable to do. Our video will show both the closed and open variations of the Twinkle. Video 1 first shows you what each variation looks like as the instructors move through it, then Video 1 breaks it down for the Gentleman's footwork for both closed and open Twinkles, then the Lady's footwork for both these variations. Remember that forward steps are heel leads, backward steps are toe leads.

Video 2 will add a note on technique, demonstrating the head styling for the Lady in the Foxtrot Twinkle, an important element in creating the beauty of this pattern. Then Video 2 shows you both open and closed Foxtrot Twinkles done to music.
